A group of young reporters go on an expedition to the Amazon to make a documentary of the last remaining cannibal tribes. The group disappears without a trace. Two months later, a team of rescuers is sent to find them, only to discover the film they had shot. Upon playing this film, we see the horrible truth of what happened to the reporters. A truly horrific, sick and repugnant film that is all the more disgusting as it mixes the images of real brutality within its pseudo-documentary framework, and has the gall to expound a "message". As cannibal films go, this is the "best". Directed by Ruggero Deodato.
